Lena Pozdnyakova and Eldar Tagi invite participants to explore the world of sound in new and exciting ways. Through a series of listening and practical games, the participants are introduced to playful tools and methods that amplify awareness about the audible world, increase reflection, and encourage a deepened connection with the environment.
Erde-Workshops take place on Saturdays at Strandbad Tegelsee/Zentrum für Kultur und Erholung. Participation in the workshops is free of charge, registration is not required. The workshops are led by members of the Moabit Mountain College and focus on artistic practice in connection with ecology and sustainability. The lido Tegelsee serves us here as a very special open-air laboratory.
Lena Pozdnyakova is an artist, curator, and researcher from Almaty, Kazakhstan, currently based in Berlin, Germany. The scope of her work in collaborative projects and research involves questions related to the culture-nature relationship and blurring the boundary between life and art. Since 2016, Lena has been working towards expanding her work to embrace more socially-engaged projects through collaboration, practices of care, intergenerational work, and community involvement. She is currently a doctoral student at Free University in Berlin, in the Institute of Art History.
Eldar Tagi, a multi-instrumentalist and composer originally from Kazakhstan, is now based in Berlin, Germany. His live improvised performances use a range of instruments, including computers, field recordings, analog modular synthesizers, daxophone, guitars, other stringed instruments, found objects, and self-made sound-makers. In both solo and collaborative work, Tagi explores the complicated dynamics between sound, objects, and environments, often in extreme forms.

Artistic Ecologies: New Compasses, Tools and Alliances conceived in collaboration with WHW, Zagreb, the Rijksakademie van beeldende kunsten, Amsterdam, and Neue Nachbarschaft/Moabit, Berlin.
